Latitude vs. Wind Speed

Wind Speed has zero correlation with wind speed. If wee look there are multiple examples between 0 and 10 mph within the full range of our data (-60 to 60 degrees of latitude). The most interesting points of data are the spikes in between 40 and 60 degrees latitude. These are just outliers which could be atributed to a storm happening in or near these areas.
